Re: 6th April (Wales Drive) All performance cars
Would be a lot of fun, but not available.
I did notice your poster has 6th March, but otherwise you say 6th April, so probably worth correcting.

Re: Battery
Personal choice on batteries, but I like Halfords at £234.95 for the AGM019, which is the correct for the V6S (MY14). An impressive 5 year warranty and £70 less than having the Jaguar logo on it. I've used this range on the F Type, a former Evoque and on one of my Jeeps, with no issues. https://www....

Re: C-Tek battery conditioner
MXS 5 is the one, you can fit a comfort connector directly in the boot, take a look at this thread for lots of information. https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4459 Every day is a school day - will do this tomorrow, thanks for the info Mike. Is there enough give in the boot seal to close ...

Re: Car thefts - securing your F-Type
Could be anywhere I guess. Weren’t the RR going to the Middle East or Africa? Certainly with my MY21 you can change the headlights to a right hand drive pattern and also the mph to kph so it would only be the steering wheel in an inconvenient position. A few years ago I was working out of Beirut. Y...

Re: Insurance gouge - here we go again...
Easy, but tiresome: Year 1 - comparaison site and select a good policy at a great price. Year 2 - complain about the inevitable price hike and get a good discount Year 3 - no discount deal from existing provider as they tried hard in year 2, so back to year 1 and start again with different company. ...

Re: Car thefts - securing your F-Type
Why not just fit a Ghost II or Ghost Pro? Won’t be going anywhere unless on the back of a tow-truck. I think this has been well covered in previous threads and I for one am a strong supporter of them having had several fitted on my current and former cars. Fully agree that with one installed the ca...

Re: Full comprehensive insurance or only mandatory insurance?
Ignoring UK or EU I’d still pay the higher premium, because fully comp is far more than just self caused damage. Uninsured drivers crashing, car park bumps, vandalism, etc. plus of course repair costs are so high and against the asset value of £70k, the risk to cost ratio is way too high. If I can b...

Re: Battery Issues
First thing I'd be doing is looking at the voltage when the car is being charged by the engine running and then after a few hours of resting. I'd be looking for 14v+ when charging and 12.6v when rested. From there it is straightforward to decide if you need a new battery or have charging side issues...
