And after negotiating and “in passing” mention that of course they will put the 2 year full Jag warranty on it - then make it a deal breaker if they don’t have the confidence. They won’t lose the sale when so close to getting your money. Unfortunately approved used cars only come with a 1yr warrant...

If you’re not in a rush then the best time is when you come across the colour and spec you want. The current cars in that price range are good, but I’m not overly taken with the wheels. Yes you soon learn, when starting the car with a wet windscreen and the driver’s window down, to check if the wipers are on auto! More driver error than fault though :roll: I had an Audi A3 Sportback and the roof rails finish about 2/3 way along the driver’s door - reversing out the drive on a cold ...

I think some people miss the thought that all the seals that keep the water out of the cabin also turn the vehicle into a potential boat, sitting on 4 small contact points that can easily be turned into non-contact points by moving water hitting the slab-sided beast. When we went down through England, France, Switzerland, Italy to Tuscany Last year I set each leg of the journey in order as favourites(?). You just have to select them in order then - simples 🙂 And don’t forget to programme a stop in Reims on the way back, where the historic race track is now part ...

Maybe it's defaulted to limp mode because you only have "half an engine"?

Yeah, they put a Mazda grille on it to hide the F-Type lines. ;)

...but at least it should be reliable and hasn't been fitted with Pirellis :D

Under bonnet boost points / direct on battery terminals / car leads removed from terminal/s?
