That’s what I did yep - Draper, Sealey, Laser, Hilka all sell them. Usually 500ml capacity and some are clear sided and graduated.

Yep, an open diff isn’t very fussy about its oil. Look for the correct grade and a high shear resistance. Yes, certainly use 2 stud extensions after going to all that trouble. If only 1 was used there’s a real danger of the wheel doing a pendulum movement once it’s clear of the other 4 studs. The rears especially can be pretty heavy and you don’t want a sudden weight shift no matter what brake type you ...

Does the end of the handle have a little button insert in it, proving it to have keyless entry?

If so then it may well have been disabled to increase security on these older models.

It’s not exactly the prettiest engine to look at, and I can’t answer your specific question, but for the drier weather mine’s always in the garage - it joins the wind deflector that just spoils the look of the convertible and has been in the garage from day one.
