Re: Missfire rough running V6
I had a failed injector on my 2013 V6 which was OK when cold, but failed after 5 miles. I had it changed and the garage said that they are piazo electric solenoids which crack and are OK when cold but stop working when they are hot. The fault was identified using the fault code computer at one garag...

Re: Lazy dashboard heating vent.
Both last year and this when I started using my convertible in March after four month SORNed the dashboard rise and fall heating vent failed to work. After a few days it tries and then after a week works sometimes, then fully sorted after 2 weeks. Not wanting to force it, as pulling plastic bits on...

Re: Failed and stuck in injector problem
With regards to replacing more injectors, with it being out of warranty I am working on the fact it was an electrical failure, so random and not connected to fuel quality or carbon etc. If I get another failure I will take it to the garage to diagnose the issue then change it myself as I bought a pu...

Re: Failed and stuck in injector problem
One was bad enough. I have been told not all injector positions suffer from water corrosion!

Re: rear diff oil changed and like a new car !!!
I complained to the dealer about a slow speed thump at a service to be told that it was a feature of the 3 litre V6. After reading this forum about changing diff oil I asked them to do it at the next service and hey presto the noise has gone. The car had done 60K but only 10K with me.

Failed and stuck in injector problem
My 3 litre V6 started to run badly when traveling at 60mph one day. A few days later I took it to a local garage with Jaguar experience and they diagnosed a failed injector on no4 cylinder, but when it came to pulling it out, it was corroded in and stuck. They were not prepared to pull harder with t...

Re: Clonk after engine shutdown
Is the clonk as the engine is running down to a stop. If it is, the supercharger may be the source of the noise as the rotors bang together as they are stopping. I got my supercharger drive compensator changed under warranty. If the engine has definitely stopped and then clonk then it will not be th...

Re: Jaguar F-Type differential failures - Input needed.
Following detecting a slight knocking when travelling slowly as the drive takes up / drops off, I asked the dealer, who told me after the service it was a feature of the car (3.0l V6). This year I asked them to change the oil in the diff (60,000) and the knock has gone, but it cost me £140 for 0.5 h...

Re: Passenger door not unlocking
This passenger door not unlocking happened to me and my wife who was locked in was not amused. She did get out by climbing over and I did unlock it by pulling the fuse for the door module and then replacing it, locking it up and unlocking from outside the car, (note the fuse is labelled drivers door...
