Re: Camera van on opposite carriageway
Have you had the letter or do you only think that you will be getting one. If he was in the back using the camera he would mainly be concentrating on vehicles coming towards him. By the time he saw you (ie when you passed his van), he would have to react & focus on you. 85mph isn't something he ...

Re: Bonnet Vents & Water Ingress
Screw or glue a plate to the underside of the vent to divert the water away. Not sure how much cooling/venting they supply, as if you put your hand beside the wheel arch after a run you will feel how much heat is coming out. (lots)

Re: top gear
Too much trying to be funny, not much about cars. Felt like switching off but thought it could not get worse, but it did. I would rather the cameras went round the cars in the studio car park as there looked like some really nice cars there

Re: Red brake caliper paint
Can't speak for the others, but I would not use the Hammerite smooth. I used the silver Hammerite smooth on the bells of the discs on my S63 Merc coupe. I used a good quality brush, but the paint goes on fairly thick (it says do not thin) & when it dried there were brush marks. Where I painted i...

Re: Jaguar Assist
Dan, I was only saying what happened with me compared to OP, do you have a problem with that ?. My Ftype never had any problems, but I do prefer Mercedes & waiting on my new S63 coupe. We are all entitled to our own views, well up to now that is, but it looks as though its changing.

Re: Jaguar Assist
That is awful service compared to Mercedes assist. A couple of years ago at 5.30am, I went over something on the road which blew out 2 tyres on the same side of my S class. Phoned Mercedes & surprised they answered at that time of the morning. The recovery truck arrived about 45mins later & ...
