Re: exhaust pop and burble

So just for clarity, pop and burble are a function of fuelling and relate to the ECU (type and map), including recent introduction (2019) of noise level legislation; exhaust sound/noise level is a function of exhaust design, valves (and more latterly the introduction of a gasoline particulate filter...

I have just been looking through some other forum information and someone has suggested "Supposedly the pops and bangs are reduced with ECU update K309. Patch JTB495 resolves i...

Re: SVR buying advice

"The cut over to the new Bosch ECU and GPF was at some point during the MY19 build. I had a MY19 R and a MY20 SVR. The R was built in Feb 19, delivered Apr 19; the SVR was built in Sep 19, left the factory in Dec 19. The R was full of pops and bangs; the SVR totally different" Does anyone know exac...

Re: SVR buying advice

Real world experience: I've had a 400 sport, 2 x Rs and the SVR. The SVR is a different car than the R on the road. The suspension is subtly smoother and more compliant, engine pickup and responsiveness feel better - its not just some extra power from the engine and some body work and suspension cha...

Re: SVR buying advice

test drive is essential. If you want a holigan exhaust full of pops and bangs, then MY 18/19 is the model to go for. The cut over to the new Bsosch ECU and GPF was at some point during the MY19 build. I had a MY19 R and a MY20 SVR. The R was built in Feb 19, delivered Apr 19; the SVR was built in Se...

Re: 2019 F Type R Exhaust volume

IIRC, OPF and a different version Bosch ECU were introduced at some point in 2019 (not sure if was MY 20) cut in, at the same time EU noise level regulatory changes were implemented. My MY19 was full bore, pops and bangs, but was built Dec 18. My MY20 SVR was built Sept 19, and is devoid of most pop...
