Re: Tyre Kicking Potential Owner 19'' or 20''?

Obviously, condition, service history and the options you have to have should come above all else, but if it were a 380 on 19"s vs a 340 on 20"s I would go 380 all day!
Good luck and have fun searching!

Re: Tyre Kicking Potential Owner 19'' or 20''?

Some feel that the ride is quite harsh on 20" wheels, particularly in dynamic mode. Mine runs 19" Orbits and even in dynamic mode the ride is good.
I think it depends on which wheels you go for when you get into aesthetics. I think 19" Orbits look good, but I am biased :D .

Re: Collected my V6S - Quite a few niggles

Did you inspect and test drive the car before you purchased it? Were any of these faults apparent then?
Unless it was an absolute bargain I would be looking to return it and ask for my money back. So many good cars out there that you should not have to put up with a car with lots of niggles.

Re: Extended warranty...worthwhile?

Heck, my old M3 BMW warranty was in the £300s and as previously said the wife's M135i is only £280😲

Re: Extended warranty...worthwhile?

Fortunately at Matford Exeter I have met the experienced technician who services mine.
I do agree in general though with you, but guess we are getting off the OP's subject matter and Phil will be along soon to wrap our knuckles😂

Re: Extended warranty...worthwhile?

Good point about your service plans👍
This though then gets into the resale value discussion.
Buyers are rightly or wrongly swayed toward buying an F Type with JLR service history over a possibly better independent service history car.

Re: Extended warranty...worthwhile?

I am in the camp of having the warranty it's a shame JLR (or the company they use) charge far more than say BMW, the wife's M135i is £260 annually which then, for me makes it a no brainer! Warranty Direct would probably be the only other one I would consider, but they do have some negative reviews a...

I’ve bought one for my 2017 V8 R AWD £64.8 per month for 10 months. Wouldn’t dream of running one of these without warranty. Not brave enough.
That seems cheap, is that a JLR promoted extended warranty or third party?

Re: Extended warranty...worthwhile?

Warranty cost is around £870 pa. Not sure if you will have to pay for an additional inspection as your not buying from a JLR dealer, you normally have to. You will get strong opinions on the benefits of the warranty or the benefits of keeping the cash for any emergencies. It will come down to what m...
