Re: Michelin Pilot sport 4S

My car came with P Zero's and they were useless in the wet. Having just completed a track day at Castle Combe which started wet and dried out by late morning I can confirm that I think the PS4S's are brilliant. They gripped in the wet with no front wheel loss of traction and the back could be spun o...

Re: Jaguar Dealers and my rights

I'd be worried by "fixed price servicing". Yes, you get a good price but that's because they do a basic service every time and don't do the extra jobs that need doing. You have a completed service history but the car suffers for it.

Jaguar Track Day - Castle Combe - 20th October 2020

Booked to do this with a mate in an XKR, anyone else attending?

https://events.jec.org.uk/events/jec-tr ... be-circuit

Did it last year, very well organised, booked 3 sessions of 15 minutes which actually you could stay our for longer and with all the concentration, that was enough.

Re: Just joined, picking my first F-Type up this week!

Hi Tristan,
Your car looks sweet, are the wheels with a lot of brake dust or a grey colour, they don't look the normal gloss black but it may be the photo.
Welcome.

Re: Fen End F-type event

Excellent event (6th Oct at 11.25), I would recommend anyone to go. Good Covid processes, you're more likely to catch it at the services on the way to or from the event. Be warned, if you order lunch, you'll get it before you start, so at 11.30 Great to be shown how each of the electronic systems he...

Re: New F type R owner [pic]

Hi and welcome.
I have a 2014 R in white and it looks beautiful, yours just looks "mean" in a great way.
You'll love it and realize there is still a 6 year old kid inside you everytime you go through a tunnel or underpass.

Re: Service 60 month

Hi Si, I also got caught out here with JLR not bothering to change my diff oil. When I complained to the dealer they had missed doing certain requirements, they said I'd opted for the basic service which was news to me as they never quoted 2 prices or even mentioned it. In the end my independent adv...

Re: Fen End F-type event

The BBC weather forecast shows Tuesday 6th October as 10% change of rain up to midday, with a quick jump up tp 30% at 1pm then back down to 10%.
160+ MPH in the rain might be fun !
Will also be there on the 6th at 11.25

There a thread on here called "Painted Rear Calipers" where I did mine with BCS Ferrari red, very pleased with the results and the service.

Re: Hello from a newbie F type owner.......

Welcome also from another white F Type, obviously the best colour (but I still have a fondness for orange or baby blue). You'll notice the lack of space in the F Type compared to an XKR but at least if you need to take anything more than a toothbrush, you can choose the XKR. It will be interesting h...
