Brake hard for a bark

Hi All, Just wondered if anyone else had noticed that firm braking causes a single loud bark out of the exhaust? Since doing some driver training, it is clear how we are all conditioned (even in an emergency) to starting our braking gently, gradually applying more pressure and then releasing at the ...

Re: V8 S to V8 R differences

I am sure from the people on this forum that you will get some very detailed information on the changes but the same base engine does the S - 495 BHP, R - 542 BHP and SVR - 576 BHP. In addition, for reliability and 100,000+ miles life the OEM's over engineer by around 20% so there's plenty to play w...

Re: Firesand with red calipers

I think the biggest difference between your pictures and the other car is the black trim parts. If I were to change anything, i'd go for them first.

Re: Sat Nav

Out of interest I followed the link, for my 2014 R the cost to update the maps on the satnav is £169 plus P&P. Great, but the map update is dated Q3 2017.
I think I could buy a brand new satnav with 2019 maps for that. Think I'll give it a miss this time.

Your best bit in the last week

In another post someone mentioned people only moan on the forum when something goes wrong and we all forget to sing the praises when it all goes right. To this end, how about a place to say the F Type related incidents that put a smile on your face or re-affirmed your decision that you bought the ri...

Re: JLR - where next?

Copied from the trade press...... MUMBAI -- Jaguar Land Rover reported its first profit in four quarters to raise optimism that the struggling UK automaker is on the mend. Net income was 119 million pounds ($151.6 million) in the three months ended March, while profit before tax, excluding exception...

Looks fantastic, but then again, white coupes always do!
Remember, when it's on your drive to look away once every ten minutes to rest your eyes.

Re: Thruxton - Jaguar experience day

All, I've done a couple of driver training days with www.carlimits.com on an airfield at North Weald, videos were posted on this site. They are excellent and I notice they also do on track training, they say........... You will be taught about car control through various exercises utilising parts of...

Re: Annoying buzzing

I had a buzzing but it was constant and seemed to come from behind the passenger seat, turned out to be the hose had come off the vac pump which operates the exhaust valves so they were always open. I guess the V6 has it in the same place and not behind the dash.
