Re: Apple CarPlay Upgrade

Prior to the apocalypse JLR were running updates for those with the Pro system (as you have) to upgrade the system with Carplay and AA for earlier models after it became standard on newer versions. Due to recent events, this seemed to fall by the wayside but across the forums quite a few had it done...

Re: Jaguar iGuide

Presumably out sourced and created by the same cowboys who created the new used approved website which still doesn't seem to want to play properly. Why are there so many apps for what is ultimately one car. Why not link the remote app, this iguide app, finance app (not that there is one yet), creat...

Re: Owners Handbook

The online manual is easy to navigate and gets updated regularly too. Not so easy when you're stuck in a poor reception area on a dark wet night. Seriously? How many times has that happened and the manual has saved the day? Situations like that normally need a press on the "assist" button. Most own...

Re: Owners Handbook

JLR have stopped issuing paper manuals on Range Rovers as well early last year.

Re: Pin code for infotainment system

In older models there used to be a generic pin printed in the manual as a fall back thing. I think it was 1929 ? However more recent models should have a personal PIN set as part of the handover to allow you to login to the nav and create a vehicle profile. A dealer shoul;d be able to clear the prev...

Re: This Is Why You Should Fit OE Tires To Your Car!

Just a reminder that this thread isn't a contest to see how many times you can use the word "s****y".
I've just cleaned up the "s**t" so no more thanks.

Re: Such a nice gift on handover

I don't know if they have changed the design of the dust caps but earlier ones had a metal internal thread. Cue galvanic corrosion and tyre fitters having to use the mole grips or in worse case scenario having to chop off the valve stems. If they are metal then a smear of silicone grease or the like...

Re: SIM not supported?

Be careful with adding things to the sim as they can get stuck inside the slot. I've never had an issue with the sim being "lose". If it's put in properly and the right way round it shouldn't need anything else. A common fault is people not pushing it in far enough until it clicks. To release it you...

Mine still says sc20 no update available. How can I trigger?
I'm afraid you can't.
Just wait and it will eventually appear.
It seems to be rolling out on the XE forums as well but JLR have to give the hamsters powering the computers a rest once in a while.
