Re: Latest Software

Just had a reply from 'JAGCRC' and apparently my F Type needs to be done at the retailers for a day, Not just a simple job as i hoped. It doesn't. We have had this many times before. 19C is SOTA enabled software. That is the whole reason behind it so you don't have to spend a day updating it manual...

Re: Plastic underbody protection on SVR

Is that a big scuff mark on the black metal cross member?

The plastic part where it is cable tied is broken as well.

Could of been grounded out or parked half on half off a kerb and maybe it broken the plastic part hence it is shorter and cable tied back on. Bodge job anyway.

Re: Plastic underbody protection on SVR

You could try Jaguar Assist if it is a safety issue. IE cut a cable tie and call them.
Any dealer will do I think.

EDIT - Call supplying dealer and offer to open a case with Jaguar Customer Services as well. Might prompt a quicker response.

Re: Breakdown cover advice

Emergency Assist are just an agent who then have 1000's of independent recovery agents who they call out to you. They don't appear to own any vehicles or mechanics themselves. They also do not offer a roadside repair service, they are a towing company who recover you to the nearest garage. If you re...

Re: Potential Main Dealer Scam

Language is the key to ensuring you get the best service. If you place your keys on the desk and walk out then yes they will service your car! However if we learn to communicate with the staff, service manager and technicians then you will get a better service. How many of us know the service manag...

Re: Plastic underbody protection on SVR

You do not make a 200mph car and then fit and secure under panels with cable ties. It's not even one cable tie but two shorter cables tied together to make one longer one!!

That will eventually snap as it rubs on the metal tray. Take it back to the dealer.

Re: Parking

Wow, an old topic! I believe Karl Benz might of said.... "A car is a wheeled motor vehicle used primarily on roads, seating one to eight people, with four wheels, and mainly will transport people to where they want to go". Is there a point in having it if you don't use it? Park sensibly, enjoy great...

Re: Latest Software

If your running 19C then SOTA update to 20C1 is supported. You just need dealer to approve it as it will be paused following software update issues a while back. The dealer probably wants to do it as it will chargeable to Jaguar as warranty work. But there should be no reason why they need the car. ...

Re: WANTED FTYPE(s)

And I still don't like the face lift (or drop is it?!). Perhaps another reason. Fewer and fewer with perfect service history highlighting all things done (like rear diff oil, transfer oil changes etc) as per schedule as well. Plus I've kept the extended warranty going on mine (already paid for its s...

Re: WANTED FTYPE(s)

I've been keeping a close eye on used car prices since taking ownership nearly 3+yrs ago now. For example. My PCP deal said the car would only be worth 24k at the end but AWD coupe with my mileage and spec are going for £43k to £48 used approved. Secondly the price of mine 2yrs ago was £44k so in th...
