Re: Cayman v F type and poor Jaguar sales

Drive a P300 and a Cayman and report back and let us know.

Seems you like BMW and Porchse from your username tag online so I can predict your answer as a lot of your comments are about residues (all second cars are holding good at the mo).

Re: Do you carry oil ?

Over 4yrs old, 29500 miles. Always warmed up properly.

Check oil weekly. Never used a drop and always on max line on computer display.

And therefore don't carry any with me.

Interesting - it shows mine (10th digit J) as MY17. Build date was March 2017.
Mines a J. Built March 2017. Registered May 2017.
And shows as MY18.
Bizarre.

Re: What MY year is my F-type Coupe?

If you are unsure, not near car for full VIN, etc then pop your reg into Jaguar warranty system.

https://jaguar.motor-admin.com/warranty/vehicle-details

Enter reg
Click find car button
Then there is a full description box which lists the MY.

Re: What just happened ?

After doing some advanced driving and Skid Pan at Fen End I would recommend it to anyone. Especially Skid pan. I think it should be part of learning to drive to be honest.

Why not book in for an hours session. Loads of places do them.

Re: What just happened ?

Dynamic mode allows quite a bit of wheel spin and sideways angle before it intervenes. It will let the car move about quite a bit. Add some fresh rain after a dry spell, grease coming up through road surface, gears kicking down, off chamber country roads, maybe some spillage/man hole covers etc. Plu...

Re: Sat Nav update question?

Having the newer system to the OP, but like above, I update the maps once every couple of months. (I purchased the 3yr map update option when car got to 3yrs old). I find it pretty good other than the unclassified roads it likes to take. Presuming the defender and ftype maps and calculations are the...
