Re: Momentary loss of power - ideas

Good one right by Swindon Station if that's in your area range.

Re: What social class do the owners of F-type belong to?

I haven't looked into this before, but did a few tests and seem to be between established middle class and technical middle class. Not sure how accurate these tests are.

Similar to me, I had no idea of the sound when I bought mine 6 years ago. Coming from two XFRs I just needed a V8 again. Totally pleased with the F-type and glad I've got one of the loud ones, even though I leave the valves shut most of the time, they open for me regularly :)

Re: Exterior Detail and Ceramic Coating ?

I had ppf all over the front and ceramic on the rest. 5 years ago. The ppf is still great, easier to clean than the rest of the car, I wish I'd had the whole car ppf'd.

Re: New Member from Somerset

It's on the Meridian surround high power system. I dynamatted and soundproofed the doors and upgraded the door speakers as well as the centre speaker. It sounds great faded forwards and stereo only.

Re: New Member from Somerset

Personally I wouldn't bother adding a centre speaker even if the system can be made to drive it. Even an upgraded speaker on mine sounds coloured and spoils the sound quality, so I use just the stereo setting rather than surround.

I still use string dangling from the garage ceiling as a stop guide. The lasers look like a good tidy method.

Re: Finally a nice weekend to get the wash kit out.

As mine is my daily, I don't bother cleaning it unless there's a dry forecast for a few days. Whichever road I use round here, there is farmer's mud or builder's dust. Maybe next week after my run to Newcastle and back. Sometimes mine looks lovely and clean, the PPF makes it easy, wish I'd had the w...

Re: Which V8 F Type is best

I prefer the buttons. An old ipod in the armrest box works well, the steering wheel buttons control it OK. Road tax is nasty for my MY16, £695 this year and it doesn't look like it will ever drop.

Re: Part Worn Tyre

When you do venture out in the UK, you don't look ahead for hazards, you watch the road surface just in front of you.
