Re: Recharging a flat battery using the Ctek mxs 5.0

So, to be clear as I have a 2020MY P300, can I can ignore all the threads I've been reading over the last week or so and attach a battery conditioner directly to the +/- poles of the battery in the boot? Should be fine, if you’re using crocodile clips just be careful they can’t get dislodged if you...

Re: Recharging a flat battery using the Ctek mxs 5.0

Jaguar don’t recommend connecting direct to the battery as it can upset the battery management system. If you connect it to the jump start points under the bonnet it might be able to recover the battery, but leave it to charge as long as you can. Running the engine to charge a flat battery can lead...

Re: Too Tall To Drive

A friend of mine has an M4 competition which is a lovely car but as you say, it just looks like a nice version of a 4 series BMW and definitely no wow factor (although it is a quick car!). In a similar way the 911 is a better car when you look at the statistics and journo’s opinion but to me it’s a ...

Re: Too Tall To Drive

Just a thought and I don’t know if it’s possible but worth checking to see if it’s possible to fit the newer thinner seats into an older model car? Could make all the difference. I’d be surprised if they changed the mounting points. Others on this forum may be able to advise.

Re: Too Tall To Drive

I have performance seats in MY20 convertible and am 6’ 2” with 34”inside leg. No problem for me and the seat is not fully down and at least 1.5” from fully back. If they guarantee a returnable deposit then you don’t have anything lose and the car won’t get bought by someone else. Most people buying ...

Re: Essential journeys !

My parents died a while ago and I have been trying to sell their house. The insurance on the empty house dictates that it is visited once a week to check for security and leaks etc. The house is about 10 miles from my home. Do you think I could drive my F-Type to their house at this time under lock...

Re: What’s the approved method of battery trickle charging.

I connected my Optimate 4 to the car today in non-canbus mode. The Optimate started up fine, showing a low battery condition and proceeded to push its max 0.8A to the car. After about an hour the condition moved to OK but charging, still full 0.8A steady. So it looks like the Optimate 4 will trickl...
