Scratched windscreen by wiper blades

Well, I finally got my f type on Monday and am completely made up with the car. However, it wasn’t long before it started to rain and so the clean car was no more. Anyway, today, on my way in to work on a Sunny day I have noticed two scratches on the windscreen. One the full arc of the wiper on the ...

Re: Car insurance query

Thanks all. I appreciate the sharing of the post code checker. Looks like I’m in a high risk area, which must be due to recent crimes on the estate in terms of break ins and attempted car theft. Suspect the insurance risk guys must have reclassified the area recently, hence the change in premiums an...

Re: Car insurance query

Thanks all. I appreciate it depends on a lot of factors. I guess it must be location being one of them. I’m looking to insure a base v6. Quite a difference in premium based on what some of you have already mentioned.

Thanks

Car insurance query

Hi there, I am near to getting a date confirmed for my f type from the garage, so re ran the insurance quotes I’d had in July last night. I was staggered to see that some companies that had previously quoted would now not quote or the premium had shot up and excess was high. For example a premium of...

Re: No f type yet - ground clearance question

Tried the actual f type I’ve been looking at today in the garage. Catches on way in and way out of garage, however, only on the plastic lip below the bumper and only briefly. Scraping noise was resolved by putting some carpet on floor, so not scraping on concrete floor. Out of interest others have s...

Thanks Vika01

I’ve spotted those in autotrader as well. Just looking to see if anyone else has visibility of others for sale.

Thank you

Re: No f type yet - ground clearance question

Thanks all for the comments and suggestions. The garage have agreed to bring the car over this week to try in the garage, as that is the only way of fully making sure. So fingers crossed. I’m not able to adapt the slope, due to the garage closing exactly where the flat bit of the garage floor starts...

In control remote but not in control apps

Hi there,

The f type (MY 2016) I’m looking at according to the spec the dealer has pulled off from Jaguar for the car has in control remote but doesn’t appear to have in control apps.

Can this be sorted by a software upgrade or does it need some hardware to enable it ?

Thanks in advance

Re: No f type yet - ground clearance question

It is indeedy just the plastic lip that catches slightly on the way in when entering the garage. However, doesn’t appear to catch at all if I reverse the car in to the garage. I visited the local dealership with a tape measure today and checked a couple of f types including the one I brought back to...
