The v8 is super reliable. Same unit as the 5.0 Mustang. Ford.

I've always timed my service to the day, minute and second...
I time mine to coincide with the MOT date - everything done in one hit. Then, if it fails, my indie hasn't done the service properly! :D

Re: Late First Service

Mmm, I guess that depends on why it was so late - it may have been traded in and been sitting on a dealers lot until sold in Feb 17 and serviced then? Ask the dealer if that delay makes a difference to the warranty cover - get it in writing if you can, then you're covered.

Re: Potential New Buyer - Best Colours?

The "orange" is called Firesand and, as you've observed, it's a fabulous colour. However, the F-Type looks great in any colour, and as you're new here I'm prepared to overlook your comments about white! ;) Italian Racing Red is another "in your face" colour, which a few on here have. Welcome aboard ...

Re: F-Type on the shopping list

Do the F-Type require any special dealer software to reset service light etc or can a proper Autel OBD2 scanner will do the job. The service reset can be done within the car by judicious use of ignition on (no engine start), opening the bonnet and depressing both pedals (assuming the auto box) full...

Re: Slow speed squeak

Probably not your issue but I recently had a screeching from the front right when I applied left lock. Turned out that one of the Torx bolts that holds the brake shield had started to unscrew itself and was rubbing on the back of the disc, worse when left lock was applied due to flexing in the syste...

JFYI...... The Transam ran open lakepipes, and my last XKR had a modified JP stainless system, both significantly louder than a Type R or SVR...
So your cars with modifed exhausts are louder than unmodified F-Types. Mmm, valid comparison, then? ;)
