Re: Which came first

scm wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2024 10:13 am Correct, the SVR was discontinued when the latest facelift came out, and the R 575 inherited a lot of the SVR's parts.
And....
In coupe form the SVR comes with V MAX mode. Everything tuned to 11.. for the all important 200mph (Michelle Rodriguez can confirm).

Re: 2019 SVR Test Drive Disappointment

https://photos.app.goo.gl/xuom9Bq6XDRt8HJv5 You've done the right thing, this car will not pop and bang. It's got the modern tune. No overfueling on the overrun, not good for the fuel economy, CO2, or the CATs My 2017 SVR will pop and bang on the over run going down hill with foot off the throttle ...

Re: 2019 SVR Test Drive Disappointment

I thought I had done enough research to determine when the exhaust sound got neutered. I just drove 500 miles to test drive a 2019 (US model so no particulate filter) and it was shocking how quiet it was. I couldn't get it to snort or crackle at all! The video below is a 2019 though and it sounds g...

Re: Help identifying this component

I was wondering if anyone could identify the item from the image below. I have removed the majority of the front end (for a few reasons) but it looks like this part is missing from my car. I presume there is one for each side? Most of the YouTube videos I’ve watched today shows what I can only desc...

Re: Drive out - Cotswold Airfield (Kemble)

(I'm not sure this is going to turn out as planned, so sorry if its all a jumble , been trying to compose this on my mobile for the last hour. I've lost the will now ,so here goes nothing) It's a good drive out to this place, not much big brother interference.... I like that you can bump into fellow...

Re: Jaguar Breakfast Club Saturday 2nd September

The cars were in different modes before parking. The spoiler stays up at all speeds, when dynamic mode is selected. It remains down when normal mode is selected until 72mph. It also stays permanently down if Vmax mode is selected. Vmax, every thing turned up to 11 Mick. Yoy know that trip up from B...

Re: Pads and Discs

The rears shouldn't wear faster than the fronts on any car as the fronts tend to do most of the braking? Back in the Analog age this will be true. However a digital feature of " Tourque Vectoring" on most F Types will see the use of the rear brakes to help cornering if you like the twisty...

Re: Active exhaust at idle?

A few of us from this forum discussed this issue at Beaulieu last year and to the annoyance of one of the marshal's, we watched the valves operate through the rev range. That f type was a 2019 SVR which did sound loud on start and with the active exhaust switch activated we observed exactly as descr...
