Re: Seized exhaust valves
Was just going to ask the question re' seized exhaust valve . (first fault ! 2013 VS S ) . Seems to be stuck 1/2 way . I'll have a look underneath and try to loosen it up again . Mine only gets v low miles/yr so i can accept that its seized due to lack of use. Thanks for the info ! What garage ramps...

Re: Problem with battery charge
Hi ' I recently had a problem with the battery apparently not charging properly ,' low batt -start engine' kept appearing on the dash, even after a long drive. (although the engine did always start ok) I decided the cheapest option was just to replace the battery, although the AGM battery was £180 ....

Re: Service interval for low mileage car
More miles to justify service, that’s definitely the best option, I shall have to work on that . The service did include spark plugs but I assumed that was part of a standard basic service . Told it was 2 hrs with oil , filters and plugs . So oil at say £40 for full synth , filters at £20 Plugs £45 ...

Re: Service interval for low mileage car
Well , I’ve just spoke with local dealer. Service is £670 , that’s the bad news , the good news is that it has a service package courtesy of previous owner with one service still to come 😁 so happy days . I shall revisit same dilemma this time next year . My last car , Tvr Tuscan was serviced every ...

Service interval for low mileage car
Hi folks , Just wondered what other owners do regarding servicing low mileage cars . My v6 is now at 12 months from last service and is telling me it’s due , but having covered only 3k Miles it seems a little unnecessary. I used to service my last car every other year and am thinking of stretching t...

Re: Weekend Toy or Daily Drive ?
As the Reg plate suggests very much a weekend toy although does get a few trips out to pick stuff up. I’ve only recently swapped from a Tvr Tuscan and I have to admit I still feel a little guilty having such a comfortable and easy car to drive. ( Tuscan was great to tho’ ) Will probably clock up 2-3...

stability control and other faults
Car had started flashing up 'stability control unavailable' and other warnings, on one occasion the battery/charge light came on but cleared on restart and worst of all it dropped out of drive on a busy dual carriage way , refusing to work again until stopped and restarted. :!: A friend has a diagno...

Re: What’s the approved method of battery trickle charging.
Hi folks, I have recently fitted an external charging point via a magnetic plug/ socket which makes connecting a piece of cake and should you drive away without disconnecting it will snap apart with no damage. Also the rear towing eye cover makes an ideal mounting point which saves drilling holes in...

Re: F type depreciation/ value
Hi Johno Sounds like i'm a little ahead of you in that I have just bought a 2013 V6 S in early Dec. The first thing that struck me was the huge choice of used cars available ,literally hundreds on Pistonheads and Auto trader . But once whittled down to convertible, 3.0 S , sports seats and red (low ...
