Re: First Year Niggles
I agree, tightening the nut does nothing. I had to change my trim as lowlife tried to get in, they had a screwdriver and prised the glass against the trim. Re: First Year Niggles
There is a 10MM nut on the bolt. You need a long box type spanner to get to it. Re: Battery
I changed mine last week. I found afterwards that the powered tailgate did not work and the doors would not lock.
Closing the tailgate manually halfway down something clicked. Then everything was working again.
I have a scanner so I did reset the BMS just to make sure.

Re: Battery Issues
I bought Varta from Tayna just last week. I changed it myself it's a bit fiddly but not too bad.
I did not have any problem but the battery was nearly 8 years old, peace of mind thats all

There is also this place, though I have never used it.
I go to German Auto as it was recommended by a colleague's husband, who works next door at BMW

I have taken mine here for the last 2 services. Also recently had MOT and rear brake pads done too.

I use one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/14032162154?ii ... 5979562795
They are tiny so do not stick out much. That way it would be difficult to break off in the compartment.
