Re: V8 S to V8 R differences

thats great to hear it's mainly ecu. I think i will get it remapped.
tbh i'm not making that much use out of the stock 495bhp, so i think i will hold off on the pulley for now.

If i put the tigger i wil reply with the bhp change.

V8 S to V8 R differences

Hi, i have a '13 V8 S. in '14 the v8 was replaced with V8 R. 495 -> 550 bhp. Does anyone know what jag did to the engine to get another 55 bhp? I assume basically the same engine. Where i'm going with this, is thinking about some mods, but nothing too extreme. I would assume again that jag have an e...

Re: Passenger door not unlocking

Yep, had the same problem, twice. Each time it fixed itself after a few days.

I think it might be a soft door close causing the latch to stick. I could hear the actuator working just didn't disengage the lock.

It's interesting most/all report of this are with the passenger door and not the drivers

Re: Very cheap insurance

I use admiral, long no claims with them, but a gap when i was out of the country so they wont let me switch and take it with me.

About £600 for v8 ftype and a seat runabout.

It's no way as cheap as OP, but i know a lot of people with much tamer cars paying much more, so i don't think it's too bad.

Re: Brakes feel

Hi, Thanks for the replies. @Santoshlv426 I saw the acceration graph, i must have missed the brake pedal graph. @Timbo I tend to use the auto box alot when i get stuck behind traffic, so i find i don't use the gear paddles much. I would have loved to have the v8 with a manual box. @Gasgas No brakes ...

Brakes feel

Hi, I've had a v8 for 6 months or so. Always had a manual, so it's been an adjustment period, and also not use to the power. But the one thing i've not been able to get use to is the feel of the brakes. The stopping power is there, but there is quite abit of travel with progressive increase of braki...

Re: Door won't open - Dealer wants £180 just to investigate.

I'm having the same issue. But after a few days it fixes itself. Same person broke it 2/2 times they closed the door, so i'm guessing it's a soft door close and then the latch sticks. (total guess mind) I can hear the actuator going, and the door handle opens, but the locked light stays on. Dealer a...
