Re: WANTED FTYPE(s)

I bought my V6 S Coupe just over 2 years ago and it hasn’t decreased in value when compared to similar cars on Autotrader. If anything, the majority of those cars are above what I paid and seem to be increasing further. https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4952 On the other hand, a fri...

Re: White residue/powder on supercharger and engine block?

In my opinion, this topic.....‘White residue/powder on supercharger and engine block?’ is a very good one and the OP (who is a new member) soon realises it has been discussed in detail on another thread which was started approx six weeks ago. https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=5188 W...

Re: Campaign SSM74031 X152 Under body brace corrosion

Not wanting to burst anyones bubble, I have it first hand from a main dealer that the new braces are only fractional better than the old. His advice was to get your original treat properly yourself. Keep checking them and keep applying the protection. Taken from the Jaguar bulletin SSM74031 (X152 U...

Re: WANTED FTYPE(s)

I had a text message from my Jaguar Main Dealer last month saying.......”We’re looking to increase our used stock with high-quality vehicles just like yours. Reply YES for a valuation” Haven't had a message like that before but I’m not interested in selling so didn’t reply. Are we sitting on potenti...

Re: White residue/powder on supercharger and engine block?

It isn't a problem for the metal, although it doesn't look great. I wonder if the car has been washed with a high or low PH fluid in its past. It’s quite a common issue, especially on vehicles that are not garaged and exposed to the elements as explained in the link provided earlier in this thread....

Re: White residue/powder on supercharger and engine block?

Cheers.

Just wanted to ensure that the corrosion issues on the engine block and bell housing are not made worse by the fact that the ‘open mesh’ bonnet vents allow more water/moisture into the engine bay than the ‘shrouded’ vents.

Re: Campaign SSM74031 X152 Under body brace corrosion

Thanks guys. Have contacted Guildford Inchcape and am in the process of sending photos, as well as a copy of the SSM. The manager is dealing with me directly and back in tomorrow, will hopefully get first feedback after sending photos soon. On closer inspection, the braces do look battered. Sounds ...

Re: Campaign SSM74031 X152 Under body brace corrosion

I had mine done about a month ago after a long battle with the customer experience centre. I think the problem is that they have a set script and it is difficult getting beyond that to get some action. What I did is send them the TSB (which has been removed for some reason) along with examples of J...
