I'm trying to force the valves shut on start-up, for when I need to start it up early in the morning (when out of lockdown...)

Quietening on start up is the only way I'm gonna be able to get louder cats...

Hey Matt! Did you ever get around to making this? I'd be happy to give one a go - My biggest need is the ability to have the valves shut on start up, so that I can switch to 200 cell race cats without pissing off the neighbours. It would also be great to ensure the valves are fully open all the time...
