The dealer has offered to do it at £805, which he has said is cost to him. Just wondered if this was the usual tosh.

Re: Can you update the SAT Nav

Hi, does anyone know if you can update the Sat Nav please. My car is a 2015 plate but even the maps on a 2019 plate would be out of date as the whole infrastructure around me has changed this year. So just wondered how I might go about getting it updated and if anyone has any experience of doing th...

Re: Searching for a V8 Convertible - which options

I only managed 156mph on the drag straight... Forgot to put it in sport/dynamic mode! Doh! The Alpine circuit was my fave... Bit tight/twisty, even for the V6. I have a USB stick with some great camera footage from that day... I'll post it when I get back to Blighty. the aston martin crash in casin...

Re: Searching for a V8 Convertible - which options

Ok thanks. I’ll ignore the patronising ‘er’ ! Trying to help... It just takes a quick search of he internet to see what JLR ex-demo (read ex directors car) get put through. Must admit I've been around Millbrook in a few of them, and you'd most probably not tell the difference until 5 or 10 years do...

Re: 48month service costs

⬆️ My point in another thread. Not sure some main dealer services are all that. Oil/filter change, fluid top up, that’s it. The independent I’ve just used questioned some of the omissions on my service record. Some tasks that should’ve been carried out weren’t. Think this can happen when owners are...

Re: V6 service & MOT cost

Need to give credit to dealers when excellent service is given..so here it is. Matford Exeter, Great personal service , nice courtesy car with 900 miles on. Interim 5 year service done at the JLR fixed price of £325, sump oil drain not pumped out. No stupid add ons such as washer fluid or desanitis...

Re: 48month service costs

What are you guys being qouted for thats extra above and beyond a normal service. I know NAC63 had spark plugs done, (dont know why though as they're good for 100k) i think its 4 years or 100,000 miles. 4 years is safeguarding the plugs from seizing in the head i believe, the plugs would be fine if...

I've just been quoted £522 for the 5 year service on my V6S, £200 for plugs seems excessive to me! Think I will be questioning that one
i think it is the labour time to get to the plugs that makes it pricey, especially when they are charging upward of £140 p/h + vat
