My year 4 service, using the service plan, included the rear diff oil change when I had it done last year.
The cost of the plan was significantly cheaper than the sum of the individual main dealer services at the time of purchase: and is even cheaper now taking inflation into account.

Fuel Filler
I’ve noticed recently that when I open the filler flap, the the plastic section around the metal filler tube ( ie the whole black plastic section) is very loose, but I can’t see a way to secure it to the body. I’m sure it was quite secure in the past, but I might be wrong. Once the flap is closed it...

Re: Service Plans........
A service plan should reduce labour rates by 10% however they are not cheaper than shopping around or booking individual components. That is a very generalised statement that isn’t born out by the prices I checked thoroughly in April, though there may have been a promotion on. The JLR service contr...

Re: Service Plans........
I think Jaguar contracts out its service plan, although it is referred to as being administered by EMaC Limited. One of the conditions says 2.3. Services Costs will be deducted from your payment. In the event that the cost of the Services received by you prior to termination exceeds the payments ma...

Re: Service Plans........
I researched this earlier this year and took out a 5 year plan direct with Jaguar - I worked it out as significantly cheaper than the quoted Jaguar fixed price servicing for the relevant 5 years and massively cheaper than the dealer quotes I got. I think I shared the comparative figures on here at t...

Re: Service Booking via Jaguar vs Dealer
I’ve found booking directly through Jaguar website much cheaper with last couple of services; dealer tries to charge more when I arrive and book in, and I have to show them the email confirmation, then they instantly switch the price to that, It’s infuriating. For services it can be £200 cheaper, re...

Despite having blue myself I do think the all black looks nice……when it’s nice and clean!

Re: Ouch
No, not found anything much cheaper, unless I take off things like protected no claims or have a stupid excess. So looking like £700 which is just my under double last year. As a check I got a quote on my other car (non jag) which was under £300 last summer, that would only go up £25; so it seems to...

Re: Finally took the plunge....
Congrats on your car. I picked mine up from Sytner Manchester last week. They did a fine job on the presentation when I went up to drive it home. I'm in the beds area now looking for a future dealer. I previously was in the north beds area. I wasn’t keen on the service from Jardines MK, had a bad e...
