Re: Carbon brake mounting pins

Frank, I have looked closely on mines, no ref can be seen.
Length is circa 15cm.
I have already removed / refitted wheels without using the pins, but paying very close attention to not hitting the discs, not at all that difficult.

simpleR wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2024 2:06 pm SVR's never had engine covers. I presumed to save a little weight but others suggest to prevent heat soak after racing and then it sitting still.
But a heat reflective pad is fitted on the bonnet to protect the paint.

Sound insulation and Meridian

Wondering, is the SVR cabin sound insulation better than the P380? I have this impression, and all seems more solid. This would explain that the same Meridian just sounds better on the SVR with exactly same settings same music. Has someone compared the doors and ccards insulation of both? Just curio...

Re: SVR History Check

Hi I would be grateful for a history check on X18SVR - I think it was OE18EUJ before the private plate. I've been informed the missing 2022 service was done at Jaguar Basingstoke and will be added to the online record - is there any idea how long this usually takes? TIA Incidentally, here it is: ht...

Thank you - is it possible to clear fault codes? I want to remove fuse 15 to fully open my exhaust flaps but last time I did it it triggered an amber engine warning light.
Yes it does.

Re: Annoying drivers door mirror whistle

I would start with gaffer tape iterations to determine the area or source. Had a very similar case few years back with my A6, and it turned out finally to the plastic triangle where the base of the mirror meets the door lifting at speed. Dismantling and double sided tape cured it for good. Hope to h...
