Re: Gearbox Service
My V6S is now 10 years young and as part of the last major service at 53k miles it had engine coolant renewed, ZF transmission service including a new OEM sump with the built-in filter, 9 litres of transmission fluid, and drain/renew rear differential fluid. The parts bill was £624 ex VAT most of wh...

Re: R75 (a bit picture heavy)
Beautiful car and great photos Some a tad over photoshopped, but each to their own as you noted. Odd you go to all the bother of blanking the reg out then it in full view on one ;) Edit: you might want to lock down your Flickr account as all 90+ pages are public Thanks for the 'heads up' on the num...

Re: Dynamic mode and traction control
Yorkshire Lad: When I first acquired my V6S 3 years ago in mid-winter I didn't dare myself to switch Dynamic Mode on until the weather dried up in the spring!! Obviously I'm more confident after 3 years of ownership but on a winding B-road with DM engaged you'll find the tail can be quite edgy under...

Re: Rusted Rear Underside Bracing
Hello, some feedback on my experiences with the rear X-brace rusting issue: 1. Almost all early F-Types suffer from it, to the extent that JLR dealers now consider it 'normal' (it's not normal, just super-common) 2. Caused by very poor quality control in the manufacturing process, inadequate plating...

Re: Near 700hp now
I think you need to get a standing quarter mile figure at Santa Pod, if you can keep that power down.

Re: Newby Hall this Sunday, if anyone is booked we've been allocated to area B1 which is just inside the entrance gate onto the display field on the LHS. Hope to see a few owners from the Forum. JPS

Re: Cheshire meet.
Count me in for a Cheshire meet up. I picked up my F-Type 2 weeks ago and based in Warrington! Considering SCIP @ Newby too :) CLB666 - we're booked for SCITP at Newby Hall this Sunday, should get the display plans on Friday, there are 20 F-Types booked out of 1200 or so total entrants, so should b...

Re: Cheshire meet.
Nope, not Gaydon this time but we've acquired a portable BBQ for SCITP at Newby Hall in May... and some snags (if you've visited Oz you'll understand that). May the F-orce be with you. JPS

Re: Cheshire meet - April 2023
There's another F-Type in my village - V6 340 in silver/black that appears once in a while. I don't think he's on the Forum but if I can get the guy interested we could 'looks like we've got us a convoy' over to Cheshire in April. Might be bit of a laff along the M56... Keep me posted on your though...
