Gazza H wrote: Mon Apr 25, 2022 8:56 am Well done, congratulations you must be delighted. Car looks mint.
Thanks I love this car especially as it is a manual. My previous Jag XJ-SC was also manual which in my opinion gives a better driving experience.

Re: Wanted: Manual F-Type Coupe V6S

Do some research on clutch issues on early models - I think JLR is on a 4th generation version to overcome problems. They are on the 4th generation clutch but I could not find any information about them. I went to JLR direct and the difficult is speaking to someone technical that knows the history ...

Re: Wanted: Manual F-Type Coupe V6S

Manual cars should be £4 to £5 k less than autos , although auto trader and eBay have skewed the prices by advertising autos in the manual section so their prices are all to cock. At the end of the day manuals tend to sit for sale for months on end compared to autos. Just look at the URL for the ad...

Done well today

Attended a bonnets up meeting where the judge was Derek Mathewson from the programme “Bangers & Cash”. Did not think I had a chance of winning as there were several top end F types, an E type, a pristine Mk11 and various other Jags in great condition. When he came to my car he said I am leaning ...

Re: Battery issue

Had a service done last year and the next day my battery was flat. Called out the AA and he was aware that this problem happens a lot after a service. After locking the door the lights on the doors were not going out, hence there was a continuous drain on the battery. Disconnecting and reconnecting ...

Re: Low battery issue after first MOT and health check.

Just had a new Service manager at my local Jaguar garage accept that there looks to be an issue in their servicing process but at this moment he does not know the answer to problem. As a compromise we have agreed that they will replace my battery at a 50% discount. I suggested this and I am just hap...

Re: Low battery issue after first MOT and health check.

You have to take into account that Inchcape Derby is a franchised dealer so obviously looking at local reviews are a must to getting good service.

Re: Low battery issue after first MOT and health check.

Without mentioning their names I have been involved with 2 dealerships they have a common issue which is a lack of communication. Every time I ring them I cannot get anyone to answer immediately my call to the service department. They say they will ring back but I end up chasing them again. It is ex...

Re: Low battery issue after first MOT and health check.

I am further annoyed by the AAs report I have just received as he has said the cause needs further investigation. Nothing was mentioned about the times he has been to this problem that has occurred after a service/MOT call. He is being diplomatic with his words so this makes my complaint to Jaguar n...

Re: Low battery issue after first MOT and health check.

Just had my service & MOT done and the day after the battery was flat. The AA has just called and he said it is linked with the equipment they use for the omissions test. He is now charging the battery and then will have to reprogram the car. He said as the battery had gone dead it is not necess...
