Thanks @Beltupandholdon.. No the battery was replaced with OEM battery only 7 months ago.. it has to be something else given that it was literally fine one minute and then completely dead the next..!

Yes I did .. charger to the terminals in the engine bay worked..

Many thanks for all the help guys this forum really is a god send.. Quick update I found the leak, but in the end had to replace the Battery Terminal Fuse Box which being at the bottom of the boot well was very corroded.. Ok...so I finally found the problem causing all or my issues... Leaks into the boot and blocked drain plugs have over time allowed the water to damage and corrode the Battery Terminal Fuse box which for some reason Jaguar in their infinite wisdom decided to place at the bottom of the boot well, so a...

Afternoon folks has anyone an idea how to open the boot on a convertible, when the battery has been disconnected.. silly error but shut the boot whilst replacing the battery, not thinking about the electric switch... Is there a way of manually opening it... Or am I snookered
