Re: AWD R Scottish Borders

Welcome mate! I'm not too far from you in East Lothian, and I'm still looking for the right car just now. Used to stay in the borders though, some fantastic roads on your doorstep. There used to be a guy who worked in Galashiels who had the R, but swapped it for the S as he said it was scary and a b...

Re: Fit for the F-Type

I went down from 95kg to 85 kg in 6 or 7 weeks last year. I bought a bike and did about 100 miles a week on it ( mainly off road ). Ate a few less pies, drank a bit less wine and beer. Aiming to get another 5kg off this summer, my prize is a fancy new bike. That's fantastic, great job! This is the ...

Re: Fit for the F-Type

How about your overall health? Less weight on your joints, easier to move around, possibly longer life. Is this weight loss plan in consultation with your dr.? Also good to check current cholesterol and glucose levels. Heart attacks and diabetes don't care what car you drive. My diet wasn't bad bef...

Re: Fit for the F-Type

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D Mad maybe. Life is too short. Buy the car and lose weight. Either lose a kg or no petrol in it. You will lose the weight quicker. I am 100kgs do a lot of exercise and about 100 miles a week cycling not much of a drop over 3 months. Though the beer may have something to do with ...

Fit for the F-Type

Thought I would share my somewhat avant-garde approach to ownership with you. The perfect car The right price The right weight Wait, weight? Yeah I've been trying for years to hit a target weight that I'm comfortable with, and always struggle to maintain the motivation. This time, if I don't hit 88k...

Re: What does your forum name mean?

Mine comes from an English metal band I used to like when I was a teenager, but it's one of these things that has just sort of stuck.

Re: The time to buy is getting close

Heated and cooled seats are, er, cool (or hot). ;) probably 1 of only 2 options i wish i had, the cooled seats and meridian sound. i had a mondeo x sport about 10 years ago and that had the heated and cooled seats and probably used the cooling more than the heated. Interesting. I'm not often the re...

Re: The time to buy is getting close

Good shout guys, I hadn't really considered the heated screen and seat as must haves but I really do want them. Often quick to forget how winter affects cars in the more subtle ways.

Re: The time to buy is getting close

Welcome from another Scottish member. Not much choice if used F Types up here. I had to go south for mine 2 and a half years ago.. Yeah it seems that way, I've done that a few times already though and sort of enjoy it, going as far as Amersham for one. If I were to buy from a JLR dealer, I imagine ...
