Re: The F-Type Hypermiling Challenge!

I achieved 31.4 mpg average in an SVR over 2-3 weeks covering 2290 miles on holiday, this included short bursts on the autobahn at 150 mph plus, however there was one leg of the holiday from Italy covering around 115 miles over about 2 hours where I averaged 41.6 mpg. I have proof, see below. C20BFA...

Re: The F-Type Hypermiling Challenge!

After about 1840 mile or thereabouts trip to France and back on all roads including mountain passes and cities where the consumption went up, I drove within most limits with the occasional blast in tunnels and out of toll gates etc, I achieved over 31 mpg average which I thought was good for an SVR.

Re: The F-Type Hypermiling Challenge!

Just achieved 34.3 mpg average in an SVR with passenger and fully laden boot on a trip from home in the north of England to Eastern France, it included most types of roads, towns, cities and motorways, I kept within speed limits most of the time with the occasional heavy right foot to overtake. The ...

Re: Steering wheel auto adjust

The dealer has confirmed there is nothing wrong with the car. It was my misunderstanding that prompted these questions. For information, the steering wheel only moves upwards when opening the door, it does not retract to the dash position. I drive with the wheel in the high position so was not aware...

Re: Steering wheel auto adjust

Checked the driver and vehicle settings, the auto adjust isn’t there, I’ve rung the dealers and they want it in to do diagnostics. They told me they haven’t worked on many Ftypes so it is a learning curve for them too!

Re: Steering wheel auto adjust

I’ve just followed your instructions ninetails and still can’t get the auto adjust to work, I think a call to the dealer may be in order if I can’t sort this. Thanks for all your inputs up to know anyway.

Re: Steering wheel auto adjust

So, I get in the car, close the door, turn the knob to manual, adjust the wheel position, press the memory button then 1, turn to auto, then open the door and the wheel does not move back to base position. I’ve tried it several times and the wheel does not move forward for easy exit. Is there someth...

Re: Steering wheel auto adjust

I’ve saved the position in the memory, I think it has to be done within 5 seconds. It doesn’t return to base when I exit the car it just stays where it is.
I set the position with the knob in auto and leave it there. Should it be set in manual then switched to auto?

Steering wheel auto adjust

My steering wheel does not auto adjust when I enter or exit the car, I have read the i manual several times and can’t seem to get it to function. It only functioned once when I bought the car but not since which makes me think I’ve messed something up or a fuse somewhere has failed. I can adjust the...

Re: Plastic underbody protection on SVR

The replacement parts came this morning and were simple to fit, the diff guard supplied is exactly the same as the one removed so a bit confusing there, it should be longer to fill the gap but maybe that’s how they are fitted. The plastic bracket which was missing just clips over the frame, no mecha...
