Re: Car thefts - securing your F-Type
Btw does anyone know where all those cars stolen in the UK usually go if they aren't sold in the UK? I mean there aren't that many other parts of the world where people drive on the wrong side of the road and most of them are quite far away from the UK so shipping the cars to an RHD market must be a...

Re: O2 sensor on the way out
Keep us posted on what you end up paying, would be interesting to know. I luckily only had one sensor go so far and that was replaced under warranty the other year. This is the price we pay for those pops and bangs. In my book they were a bit fun 10 years ago but are now mostly annoying so I'm consi...

Re: Car thefts - securing your F-Type
The ODB cable looks like a nice way of securing that side of things, but in terms of key security, it was confirmed on here by the top alpha dog man himself that The OBD port should only be vulnerable on cars older than 2015. In 2015 JLR changed the system so that the OBD is taken out of the equati...

Re: Car thefts - securing your F-Type
This one looks decent as well.

And then I saw this in the US which is no longer for sale and seemed to be rather bizarrely priced.

Looks like I need to trawl ebay a bit more for some unobtrusive option.

Car thefts - securing your F-Type
I happened to see this vid yesterday and thought it was quite interesting. Nothing unique to Jags and nothing new about relay attacks or OBDII port hacks but creating a new key just based on a VIN was new to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9cZmJHOuK0 I never really go or park anywhere where the...

Re: Part Worn Tyre
Ah, yes Wales seems to be a different story than England. Those Welsh roads do look very tempting and I think I read somewhere that they're generally in a better condition than English roads.

Re: Part Worn Tyre
Hmm, doesn't feel like there will be any drive up to the UK in the near future then. As Jimmy says there are so many other amazing places down here. Especially our local country side roads are mostly insanely good. Lovely views, no cameras, no traffic, zero potholes and a surface like a freshly pave...

Re: Part Worn Tyre
Ouch! Not entirely related but how bad is the pothole situation in England? I occasionally toy with the idea of another little road trip up to the UK in my F-Type but keep getting put off by pot hole horror stories. It’s pretty rough to be honest, a lot of nasty holes on the edges of roads, particu...
