Aston Martin and Jaguar
Aston Martin in conversation with Jaguar: AM - so have you finished with those old F type headlights? JLR - Yes the future is a softer look. AM - Ok, and you say the future is all electric and you’re not going to develop the V8? JLR - Yes, buyers are going to be queuing out of the door for electric ...

Re: bonnet vents
[/quote] The engine has a very large plastic tray covering the top Sc and beneath the SC are the injectors, so it's unlikely (but not impossible) that water ingress through the bonnet vents is the problem. More likely scenario that the coolant Y-piece may have leaked which is a known issue. The bonn...

It sounds like you’ve gathered enough info to make your decision. See how it goes. Mine have been open for nearly a decade, no shielding and there’s no corrosion. Have you had the supercharger off to have a look ? It’s what’s happening below that’s the issue. https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic...

Re: Is this the solution to vent water ingress “
I posted the subject on Facebook and got some interesting replies. It seems a couple of owners have have sealed them already without issue. I wish I could post the pictures of the underside of the vents as the openings are so very small. When you think that the original vents were completely open me...

Is this the solution to vent water ingress “
I’m worried about the corrosion problems on early RWD cars with the bonnet vents high up the bonnet. Many have been looking for under bonnet solutions to divert the water. However, I am totally convinced that the vents have no cooling effect whatsoever. I looked at the vents from underneath today. F...

Re: Carbon ceramic brakes
Owners who have never experienced CC brakes will tell you they’re squeaky, unnecessary and expensive.
Here’s an owner who’s got CC brakes …….
Truth - They’re bloody epic.

Re: New introduction
Hi Kev, she looks a beauty. I hope you have lots of “date days” getting out to see or wonderful country. That’s what I love most about my F type. My only suggestion is to look up bonnet vent issues on the forum. You have the early placement (high up the bonnet) with the open grill style vents that l...
