Re: My car issue

I do not understand why they have not removed the red heat shrink sleeving to expose the cable and thus tell if the cable itself is the culprit. Salt and water can capiliarise up cable like anyones's business! The cable and connection points should have a cover over the top. It's not shown on the vi...

Re: My car issue

Is the roof actually visually and audibly latching? Yes, it is. Sometimes when I get the error when starting the car, and then 3-5 minutes later with the engine running the error goes away and you can faintly hear the roof click. it sounds like it is not fully completing the operation then, sporadi...

Re: My car issue

I assume the dash board error is... Low voltage pls start? Without diagnostic and access to your car; Sounds like the jbox problem may have fried the alternator at a guess if it's still not charging? Or the battery has a duff cell in it. Or could need a simple reboot to clear the errors from the mod...

Re: My car issue

Because the corrosion at the jbox in the wheel arch is the most stupid design ever and fills with crud/salt etc and has dissimilar metals... Et voila, accelerated corrosion. Any joint that does not conduct electricity well due to corrosion will restrict the amount of current that can pass through it...

Re: Bee poo !

Thanks Brian...although I'm not sure I want to spend £15 a month on bird dropping wipes as this is happening every day! At the moment I'm trying to keep them away with a made up mixture from the site SCM recommended earlier in this post, so now the front of the house smells nicely of pepermint ! No...

Re: Bee poo !

You can't odds it in the summer - It's the bane of my life during car shows.

The only thing I use that gets it off easily is a damp micro-fibre cloth.

Re: 15MY IRR V8S For Sale

I configured that very car (still have the build sheets and Configurator print out somewhere!) and ran her in....and I can also say that I spent many, many hours polishing it! It's also been Corrosion Guarded by yours truly one day after leaving the showroom: I think that the RWD's will be the futur...

Re: Are diagnostic costs covered by jaguar approved warranty ?

So my roof failed to close at the weekend and I had to manually close it ( what a palaver ) ! Anyway car has gone into dealership who have found an electrical fault with one of the motors that they think is causing the problem. They have said that the replacement will be covered by my 2 year extend...

Re: main screen and vent controls intermittent fault

I love these kind of issues... If you found no feed onto the busbar, and then it came back, chances are it is a voltage feed problem. Sounds like you are handy with a DVM and diags - Get yourself a copy of the cct diagrams from TopiX and have a sniff round. It will be something daft, loose feed. It'...
