Re: MOT station you can trust please

Just to update... in the end I went for a local MOT station with top reviews online. Mr Tyre in Warwick did the job at just £29 and they have a viewing window. I found the tester very respectful of that fact that it's not just a run-of-the-mill car and even said what a good car it was - even though,...

Re: MOT station you can trust please

Thanks everyone, appreciate your replies.
It seems that Halfords (surprisingly!), Elite & Performance Jags or Council testing centres seem to be the recommendations, so will take my pick.

MOT station you can trust please

Not sure if there is anyone around my area (Daventry, Northants.), but wondering where you go for an MOT. This is the first time I'll be taking my beloved F-Type for an MOT and, considering I've not had great experiences in my area with previous cars, I'm looking for recommendations please for somew...

Re: Which options could you live without?

To be honest, I don't tend to miss what I don't have! The car's so great to drive and to look at that I couldn't give a monkey's if I haven't got driver assist this, adaptive that. So many optional extras in modern cars are unnecessary IMO and if looking in the secondhand market, there are far more ...

Re: Genuine silver stop/start button & paddles

Hi and thanks for the replies. Here's what I've discovered.... T2R42909 (stop/start switch in black) is out of stock everywhere it seems. I discovered that LR094038 is a Land Rover part and fits perfectly. It has a matt black button and aluminium surround and looks really nice. Basically a genuine J...

Re: Genuine silver stop/start button & paddles

Britcar do list the JDE36051 and 36052 paddles for the F type. I just wonder what the difference is to the T2R6547MMU? https://britcar.com/product.php/468068/0/gearchange_silver_paddle_switch___right_hand_upchange___jaguar___f_type___f_pace___xf___xe Btw, thanks for confirming there is no such OEM i...

Auto shift lever removal

I'm wanting to replace the gear shift lever as the one on the car is a bit scratched from the previous owner. It's surprising really, because the rest of the interior is mint, so I can only guess that he/she had loads of rings and other dangly bits and pieces hanging from his/her hand! :( Anyway, I ...

Re: Genuine silver stop/start button & paddles

Thanks and yes, I now see that the part no. I need is T2R6547MMU for the aluminium paddles. I was also looking at JDE36051 & JDE36052, of which there are a few on Ebay and a bit cheaper (genuine JLR, but listed for the XE and XF). Has anyone tried fitting these and are they any different, becaus...
