Re: New owner F type R
Curious - how did you check for the software updates? Just bought a R myself and it just seems the exhaust is rather "tamed"! But I maybe assumign that the pops and crackle are easy to produce even when the software was not updated. I think if you post registration number of your car some...

Re: Vin check please (need to know options)
Not really sure what you are asking, if you need spec of car I think you’d need to contact Jaguar give them the vin they should be able to tell you the spec, but I guess you know the spec it’s your car 🤷🏻♂️ maybe better to ask is anyone has part number for module for heated seats and or non heated ...

Re: My car projects
Don't mean to hijack the thread but I bought this footrest plate earlier this year and I'm happy with it https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266459332385? That looks good, guessing just screws in place @jagbob how did your plate fit are there pre drilled holes? If not any risks of drilling into anything imp...

Good choice welcome to the group
search forum many threads about issues and what to look out for
If you can get vin number you can check service history on Jaguar web site it’s worth checking to see how “full” the service history is

Re: Used F-type decision: 2019 R or 2022 / 2024 P450?
thanks billy. so the insurance difference seems because of some new tracking tech in the 2024 p450s. Almost every 2021/22 450 is north of 2300 for me. curious if people feel the R is the ultimate one to get. Wonder if they upgraded the remote locking system or something on later p450s. I would haza...

Re: Used F-type decision: 2019 R or 2022 / 2024 P450?
Hey, good choice to go for F type welcome to the group 😊 I don’t really understand why there is such a difference in insurance cost between the 2022 P450 and the 2024 P450 basically same car 2022 more expensive to insure than 2024 🤷🏻♂️ the 2024 car will be 75 edition or 75 plus edition so maybe few...

I would buy one of these, but I'd have to sell the house first.

Just a small point to add, if you SORN the car it can’t be parked on a public road, driveway, private road / land is fine, I know it sounds obvious but just mentioning just in case

Re: New member, sad story, advice sought
Thank you for all the replies and the kind and helpful words. It is not the car you suggest, mickjaguar, it was a 2015 and never serviced at the garages on the service record. My partner purchased it from Ridgeway Jaguar after it had been used for a short while as a demonstrator..... I shall at lea...

Re: New here (hello) and heads up
Sorry to hear your coupe was stolen, thieving W’s
I would suggest putting a Ghost in your new car, key relay theft won’t take it then.
Small price / percentage against cost of a R75 imo.
I would think insurance premium hike after theft would have covered some or a big chunk of the cost of a Ghost.
