Re: V6S Brake Disc Issues
My SVR had grinding noise while turning left at low speed - turned out to be a loose bolt on the brake shield gouging the disc - I believe they ended up replacing both front rotors and pads under warranty - hopefully the technician torqued the bolts up properly

Re: RWD or AWD? That is the Question
My old V6S used to spin the wheels and kick out the rear which was fun if you wanted it to - but disturbing if you weren't expecting it. A V8 RWD would have been worse. SVR AWD just digs in and takes off and is pretty hard to oversteer. So if you want to go everywhere sideways: RWD. If you want to g...

Re: F Type Parcel Shelf
There's actually a service bulletin with instructions to add a small rubber bush to the pins to keep the shelf in place

Re: F Type 2.0L - FAIL or FANTASTIC ?!
How would it actually compare with a TT or an R32 though. Obviously it blows them away in terms of looks. I think a manual AWD might be fun (but heavy) but the ZF seems like too many gears. The diff ratio on the 2.0 (3.55:1) is a bit higher than the v6 (3.31:1) which means at the same speed in the s...

MY18 SVR first issues...
Had my SVR with 3000km's on it in the shop last week. Metallic scraping noise while turning left and the driver's seat right side bolster has come loose at the back. The mechanic said a bolt holding one of the brake shields had loosened and was gouging the disc causing the scraping noise and the sea...

Re: Good review on the F-type V6 vs V8
For me it is an emotional thing. Coming from TVR V8's and GTR's the V6 (380) just did not give me the rush I need when I pressed on. A great car but the v8 gave me the shove in the back I was looking for. I agree - I went from an XKR to a F-type S and it never felt quite right. Too many gears and a...

new owner from the antipodes
Just acquired a Rhodium Silver V-6 S coupe (with black pack). Not my first jag (in fact it's my 8th one over the years). Last one was a 2008 XKR portfolio.Located in Wellington, New Zealand which has similar weather to the UK and we drive on the same side of the road.Liking it so far - it's a bit mo...
