Re: Heads Up - New (Used) Owners

For info - just had a rear diff seal issue noticed on the 3 year service @ 18k miles. V8R Coupe MY15. Had a good chat with the JLR service crew - it is a known issue apparently on V6 and 8 ....
worth a check especially if you are on the last check before warranty expires !

Re: Leaking diff seals

Just had my car serviced before going out of warranty and It had a leaking rear diff seal. (V8R Coupe @18,800 miles)
Service Manager did imply it was not an unusual issue - but it is all covered under the warranty and will be done in the next couple of weeks.

Re: No more F-type R

Also planning to keep my AWD R for many years to come - more unique now ?!
Removing the R makes sense from Jaguars point of view as they will force folk to go for the SVR which for me never really justified the increased cost...
Margin management I guess !

Re: Advice wanted :)

Hi, Not sure I can comment on the Bentley and R8... beyond those already posted. Just an observation. I have a 2015 V8 AWD and the cost of ownership (depreciation apart) has been pretty reasonable. Tyres, servicing etc seem pretty reasonable. But finances aside... you mentioned the possibility of an...

Re: Guy Salmon - Northampton

I would recommend Marshall Jaguar Oxford (previously Ridgeway) . Bought my car there and they were super helpful. Good customer service and really did focus on what you wanted / didn't want.. Harry Bathe was the representative I dealt with and he was genuinely excellent... Not sure if that is near y...

Re: RWD or AWD? That is the Question

I have had the AWD V8 now for 2years. For me AWD is the way to go for that BHP... tons of grip and catapults you forward without total fear of ending up in a hedgerow if you over cook it... or losing the grip at the back.... Maybe i do not have the handling skills for RWD .. but from a practical per...

Number of licensed FTypes in 2016

I think this has been posted on another thread for a previous year...but for those of you interested in knowing the number of F Types licensed in the UK during 2016 take a look. The statistics come from the Department of Transport and if you want you can find out all makes and models ... FTypes stil...

Hello!!! V8 owners!!!

I have a MY 2015 V8 (R Coupe). Engine has been perfect. Runs like a dream. I have had some conversations with the service folk at Jaguar and the V8 has a solid history of development - so should be a strong performer where most niggles have been dealt with.
