Re: Moved to pastures new.
Having driven sports cars for 40 years now, people stopped questioning my sanity a long time ago, they knew I was nuts...., I suspect the fact that I spend quite a bit of time cleaning, polishing and detailing my cars just cemented their opinion. I have to say I am looking forward to the bette...

Re: Moved to pastures new.
Thanks :D The loss wasn't too bad, not brilliant but manageable. I bought the F-Type at 18 months old so the previous owner took the greatest hit, just over 2K per month, eek , my monthly hit was just under £700 a month, bad enough but that's the penalty for running this type of vehicle and I...

Moved to pastures new.
After just shy of 3 years in my care, I decided I to have a change of steed. F-Type.jpg The problem of course was what to change to ? Few cars have the drop-dead-gorgeous looks of the F-Type, and the sound when on song is intoxicating. The admiring looks and positive comments it received wherever I ...

Cheers Chrissyg
Thanks for the info, I hadn't thought about going down the sale-or-return route but might be something to look at.
I'll see about putting together advert and might give Autotrader a go.
Thanks for all your advice.

Re: A few photos from the advert for my V6S sale..
Thanks for the advice Gus, appreciated. I'll certainly have a look at some of the 'webuyanycar' type people. I'm into detailing quite a bit so it's really quite presentable, (not that I'm blowing my trumpet of course........) Slight scratch on one wheel, not kerbed, which I will get done before I ad...

Re: A few photos from the advert for my V6S sale..
Out of curiosity, when did you put it up for sale ?
I'm considering moving my F-Type on, but not having sold a car without trading in for the best part of 35 years I'm not really sure where to start and who to trust.

Re: 20” Blade Carbon wheels
I've used FinishKare FK1000 on the rims of my cars for some years now, and I have been very pleased with its durability. https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/finishkare-1000p-hi-temp-sealant As with most things in the detailing world, the prep work is important. Giving the rims a thorough clean will pay d...

Re: No F-Type for 14 Weeks!!
I'd resist the temptation to keep starting the car if you can. Two reasons, the first is that it takes a surprising length of time to put the charge back into a battery after it has started a vehicle, the second reason is condensation. When a vehicle is started condensation forms within the engine a...

Re: Stone chips
I've used Chipex a couple of times on other vehicles and found it fine.
Easy to use and the colour match was very good.
They have some videos on their site on how to use it.
