Re: Selling my basically brand new seats and switch’s

Thanks for the chat yesterday Syd. These are great seats in brand new condition, with heating, cooling, full electric adjustment, side bolster adjustment, and memory on the door switch packs. I’m only passing due to the differing colours and stitching I’d end up with, making the cabin look a little ...

Re: stop start issues

Absolutely!

No button to press every time - and just a pull back on the mode switch to put it into Dynamic and open the exhaust valves from idle upwards - they got it right on launch 😎

Re: stop start issues

Older cars have a separate small stop/start battery.
Mine gave up the ghost around 4 years ago, which was welcome, but bizarrely it sprung into action on a recent long drive - just the once though!

Re: Selling my basically brand new seats and switch’s

Hi Supersyd,

I might be interested in these.
How much are you asking for them and where are you located?
They appear to be perforated - are they just heated, or cooled also?

Thanks.

Re: grand tour

Just a leg pull there - I think mono-uk was referring to the fact that some people have experience issues with the locking diffs on some F-Type models and that it’s wise to change the diff oil more frequently than Jaguar recommend. The same goes for the transmission oil - Jag say it’s fine for 10 ye...

Re: Wet air filters

It’s here on the LHS under the cover panel. Be gentle with it - just tapping it with the palm of your hand gets most of the debris out - and be sure to replace it facing the same way for the airflow. Some filters have a helpful arrow but this Crossland one was from Halfords - still has the charcoal ...

Re: Wet air filters

If it had been one filter that was sodden I’d have suspected a stuck or debris jammed drain valve - like the leaking one-way washer valves you sometimes hear of - and water splashing into the air box from below. I guess it’s unlikely to happen on both sides though, and first time I’ve heard of this ...

Re: Wet air filters

My air cleaner elements were changed at 4 years at the dealer service, but then left until 5 years on the advice of Adam at Tom Lenthall. 4 years is up to 64k miles so, unusual water issues notwithstanding, the filters will still be working efficiently for most people’s annual mileage - mine came ou...
