Yup, I agree entirely. This was a small cut in the middle of the tyre, wouldn't have seen without removing wheel and I wouldn't have considered it a fail. I think the mot tester may have been a bit over enthusiastic, but decided not to argue ..

Just got PS5's fitted to our car. Slightly disconcerting, but MOT at dealer with third year service I was advised fault because of cut in front tyre showing cords through. Fair enough, ordered two new tyres, went to get the car and discovered it was actually a rear tyre. A "tick box" error...

In the good old days I often stay in the car operating things for the tester. Years ago someone suggested going to a test station that didn't do repairs ( to avoid that thought that they're looking for business ..) Nowadays, with more money than sense, I get the dealer to do the mot with the annual ...

I'm also just coming up to 3 years. For the nav I'll manage without updates for a while, roads don't change that much! For other things, I'll probably go for 2 years of in control and tracking, but pass on the one year extended warranty. Just not sure what to do for breakdown assist.

Polisher recommendation wanted
What polishing machine should I buy? I think a da rather than rotary, and something well under £100. Any ideas welcome.

Our car is coming up to 3 years old. Don't want to pay for extended warranty, but would like to continue jaguar assist. Is this possible?

We bought the genuine jaguar cover, but only use it when the car is clean. Otherwise best to have no cover, or if you have room one of those folding garage types would be ok.
