Re: New tyres time

Yup, I agree entirely. This was a small cut in the middle of the tyre, wouldn't have seen without removing wheel and I wouldn't have considered it a fail. I think the mot tester may have been a bit over enthusiastic, but decided not to argue ..

Re: New tyres time

Just got PS5's fitted to our car. Slightly disconcerting, but MOT at dealer with third year service I was advised fault because of cut in front tyre showing cords through. Fair enough, ordered two new tyres, went to get the car and discovered it was actually a rear tyre. A "tick box" error...

Re: MOT station you can trust please

In the good old days I often stay in the car operating things for the tester. Re: inControl navigation renewal

I'm also just coming up to 3 years. For the nav I'll manage without updates for a while, roads don't change that much! For other things, I'll probably go for 2 years of in control and tracking, but pass on the one year extended warranty. Just not sure what to do for breakdown assist.

Polisher recommendation wanted

What polishing machine should I buy? I think a da rather than rotary, and something well under £100. Any ideas welcome.

Re: Jaguar assist

Thanks, yes I know they use AA. Just wanted confidence in ease of calling via button in car.

There are some very cheap roadside assistance available, many under £20/ year, but you wonder how good ..

Re: Car cover for f type convertible

We bought the genuine jaguar cover, but only use it when the car is clean. Otherwise best to have no cover, or if you have room one of those folding garage types would be ok.
