Re: JayEmm testing the P300
I really love the car and this forum is great, I do hope there won't be cylinder snobbery on here 😂 Damn, and I was thinking of adopting an aloof V8 aura for 2024! We have to fight our corner too, you know. Those 400 Sport owners with their limited edition, have been known to say our SVRs are as co...

Re: JayEmm testing the P300
I'd quite like to try a P300 out of curiosity, just to see what it's like, as I've owned the V6 and V8. Might see if I can blag one when mine goes in for service to complete the picture. His observations on running costs are what I would have expected. Whilst our 2 litre XE is cheaper to run/tax/ins...

Re: Do you find the F-Type generally noisy?
It's all relative. The F type is like an EV compared to my Abarth! It has the exhaust and tyre noise, as well as a million rattles (including from the fillings in your teeth probably).

Re: Cost of pads+discs
I get this as to start doing this sort of work you do need to have some equipment - jack, axle stand, torque wrench, some spanners, torx, etc. and of course a big hammer And some copper grease. Friend of mine set about changing the discs on his Mondeo some years ago. And as sometimes happens the di...

Re: Cost of pads+discs
I used to pay £75 to my Fiat indie about 4 years ago, so £110 seems fair.
The main dealer online price on Jaguar.co.uk for front discs and pads is £647.24 and rear £576.74. Front pads only £376.05 and rear pads £264.19 fitted.

Re: Rear tail light query
The angular shape change was for the MY21 facelift.
Earlier lights did change to having a smoke tint at some point. I think it was MY18, so new builds around April 2017 onwards, with the lamps being LED.

Re: Number of Caldera red F type’s registered
The thing with Italian Racing Red / Firenze is that it changes depending on the light conditions. It can appear wine red towards maroon under cloud, but when the sun comes out the metalflake really sparkles and it's more towards rosé pink. Two pictures of the same car in different light. One is park...

Re: Fuse 15
Best analysis for the Ppf cars was a write up on the US forum. (I probably put a link on here somewhere in the past). The valves are sneaky, they can be open when you startup, but as soon as you apply revs/move off they start to close. Pulling the fuse easily confirms this. (P300 might throw limp ho...
