I reckon you've got one of those special little note pads I see being wielded on train platforms every now and then

Plenty of videos on the tube about fuels, a lot of smoke and mirrors.
Basically, ethanol is robbing you of miles as its calorific value is less than fuel i.e less bang for your buck.

Try South Marston service station in Shrivenham rd, they sell Super unleaded Ethanol free fuel.

Re: My F-Type is poorly ... again... any advice would be lovely

Hi all, The vehicle is driven by my partner and I, we warm the vehicle up prior to any enthusiastic driving but aren't spanking it. Anyway, the vehicle is booked back in for Thursday 9th November 2023 and will update this then but any and all advice welcome.. I am no mechanic and new to the forum w...

Re: What could be causing this lights issue?

Could be a whole host of issues including some of the above. DRL's seem to do some odd things, most of all seem to be go into side light or dim mode when the other one is bright. Only way to tell is to plug a good known unit in and see if it does it with that one as well. I've looked at a car that h...

Re: Michelin PS4S Tyres

I did wonder about tyre pressures and have already had a bit of a play around with pressures but did not notice any real changes, will investigate further ! Some complain that the suspension is too harsh in the F-Type, some that grip is mediocre, in Winter, but haven't bothered playing with the tyr...

Re: Michelin PS4S Tyres

I've had MPS4S's fitted since they came out...I found anything under around 15C (amb) and you could tell they needed to come up to temp before 'working' them. I run 35 psi all round on the lighter RWD, this seems to be the sweet spot by the time they get to temp in the summer, so you might consider ...

Re: Shocking fuel consumption

Fuel eco...what? The V8 lump, just doesn't have to work for general driving. Now, compared to V8's of the past; used to run 12-14 on a good day, and Yank Tanks were something else! Haha the small block Chevy gives me 9 mpg driving to Wales for events. Hills, villages and bends.. Taken to LPG or a t...

Re: Autowatch Ghost-II CANbus Immobiliser

Seems like a lot of complexity and expense to do something so simple, I simply fitted a toggle switch that disables the gear selector, hidden in a location in the cab that shall remain secret. Exactly, you've got the right idea. We always used to break the hot wire to the HT coil on 70's cars. Ther...

Re: Recommended Independent/Specialist in Dorset/Hampshire region

Are they able to access Jaguar OSH records to update? Best to keep paper records - servers can lose data or crash. You mean you don't trust JLR and electronics?!!! Fair point ;) I'm starting my second 4 hole 3" binder! I've kept everything since build in May 2015, except for fuel receipts...ev...
