Re: Drive the f type more often !!!!
I'm a bit late on here but I can't see how it is dirty/stale fuel. You said "after 30 minutes". Fuel mixes almost instantly as you refill, old and new so new fuel would just dilute the "staleness" and it would all be a bit stale. Water? That would be at the bottom of the tank and...

Re: Must do’s for new owner
Hi, welcome and that looks a lovely new toy. So drive it, wash it, exercise your smile muscles and build in an extra 15 minutes for EVERY journey to talk to admirers (of the car not necessarily the driver!!) when you park it. Also not a fan of covering dirty or wet cars. As for diff oil, as yours is...

Re: Potential Main Dealer Scam
Some of those prices seem quite exceptional. Brake fluid change at Harwoods Chichester is £100 and even my local it's £60. Two hoses will set you back more than £63.97. I'd have gone with Lunar but for the A/C service, that's steep? Could it be that they have received your letter and applied a goodw...

In a previous life similar to yours MH, my boss had a Hillman Hunter Estate that he nicknamed Nimrod. For the very same reason. It was a mighty car

Re: Engine oil change – extraction method via filler cap
Most of these extractors use a similar sized motor, 60 watts-ish or 5 Amps at 12 volts. That's one headlamp. It will likely say on the casing somewhere, either power or current consumption. Your F-Type battery is 90Ah, so theoretically will run the pump for up to 18 hours if it's in tip top conditio...

Re: how many manual f types registered in uk
Fascinating thread. I too wanted a manual but just couldn't find one with any decent spec/history back in 2019. I nearly got there at a Main Stealer but it was sold before my test drive appointment. So much for unpopular! I wasn't getting any younger so decided to widen the search by some 97% and lo...

Re: New to Jaguar/Ftype
Hi Springers and congrats on your new one. On the subject of trickle chargers, my neighbour has a 2013 911 occasional car and I know what you mean re the battery. He is forever having to recharge the battery as he has no trickle charger. He reckons maximum is 3 weeks even on a new battery. I have le...

Re: Trickle chargers
It is a re-badged Ctek, I used an Accumate on my TVR's however they are quiet basic and do not have an AGM battery type selection so switched to a Ctek with the F-Type I also have an Accumate from many years ago. It's been fantastic on all my weekend cars over the years but like you all I was worri...
