Re: Engine START/STOP button pulses at 72 beats per minute
Yes I've had mine 6 weeks and only noticed this the other evening. I didn't check the pulse but thought it was just saying "touch me, you know you want to!" As for the Gramma, I agree with both sides. It isn't necessary to "say pulse of a live jaguar" as pulse indicates it is ali...

Clean licences, full no claims, over 60's but still young at heart!!! :) Before we renew how does this compare with others on this forum? Any recommendations? Re: Insurance renewal cost
"Protected No Claims Discount (NCD)......is it worth it?" "If you've got a lot of years No Claims Discount (NCD) it’s not worth protecting. If you have only a few years it is. Reason is that for someone with say 8 or 9 years or more NCD, in the event of a single claim they don't lose...

Re: I've gone and done it!
Thanks for your friendly welcoming messages. I've put almost 800 miles on her already and love it. It was meant to be my fairweather/weekend toy. Oh well the best laid plans and all that! Things I like: 1) Almost everything. Things I'm learning to live with: 1) Waking the neighbours at 5 am. I see t...

Re: Average Age of an F Type or Sport's car Owner
I'm one of the 32 50-59ers. I've had petrolhead cars most of my driving life. Kid's and mortgages have interfered occasionally but having become an empty-nester I noticed a space on the drive. It lasted precisely 5 days!

Re: Things to tell your Insurance
Your wife is clearly a better risk than your mum, but a worse risk than your dad. Insurers' logic. ;) You might have a point, I need to start to understand "insurers' logic" but am having difficulty with common sense! Mrs Midlife and my Dad both have very similar 1.4TSI VW's. She pays £16...

Re: Things to tell your Insurance
I added my wife to my mum's car and the premium came down by £80. This got me excited so asked if I could add her to my dad's car and they wanted an extra £100. Same Company. Bonkers.

I've gone and done it!
I've been lurking here for a while and also looking for my ideal car. Great source of info and you lot seem like a friendly bunch. Can I join please? I've spent months looking at allsorts of mid range toys but I kept coming back to the F-Type for so many good reasons. Anyway a couple of weeks ago I ...
