DAE do seem to get excellent comments.
I’m very tempted myself.
How much extra was it on your insurance and who are you insured with?

VAP V6 Power Pack & 200 Cell Cats/Downpipes Fitted

Hello All, Not had too much time to drive my car since returning from David Appleby Engineering. Will get some video footage once the coast is clear. Initial thoughts... Running out of subtle mods to do so thought time to increase noise & power. Booked into David Appleby Engineering for V6 Power...

Re: EVENTURI CARBON FIBRE INTAKE SYSTEM - JAGUAR F TYPE

I don’t think this upgrade offers anything in terms of additional power, purely aesthetics, & then only if you like lifting the bonnet. Timbo likes doing this 😄

So pretty pointless. I’ll probably get it done next year...

Re: Battery low and battery maintenance

Have used the CTEK for a few years now. Great bit of kit. Just keep cable loose as tailgate closes to ensure no snagging.

No issues with overheating. Highly recommended to keep sensitive batteries & electrics satisfied 👍

I’m not interested in removing my rear lights but could you provide a bit more detail on this? 😄 👍

Re: Garage Update

You must be top of JLR’s Christmas Card list 😄 A fine display of Britishness 🇬🇧

Once through this, hope others follow suit. We will need it.

Re: Recommenations on OEM Exhaust

From knowing other owners, with aftermarket back boxes, they can be too loud. A few have passed them on for this reason. Ok if you have switchable option for initial starting up & driving off. Heard of owners being reported to local authorities (young David), activating neighbours car alarms (yo...

Re: Paintwork peeling,help please?

Had closer look at photo. Agree with Philskill that bonnet/nose gap is larger than normal. Pop bonnet & inspect nose securing bolts at front. You can usually tell if they’ve had a spanner on them as some of the paint on bolt head will be chipped.

Re: Paintwork peeling,help please?

Never seen or heard of that happening on any Jaguar. As others have suggested, that’s a poor smart repair of sorts.

A good body shop would respray the whole front nose for £400ish. Jaguar, quite fairly & in the nicest possible way, will not want to know.
