Re: F-Pace owner (here in peace!)

Hi and welcome, I would say even if you're not worried about running costs, buying any F Type, including the V8 is much cheaper than running any Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari etc...... OK, there are concerns over diff reliability and coolant pipes and injectors requiring supercharger removal but I ...

Re: Higher mileage V8 or low mileage V6

Hi, I think your driving style and what you want from the car will also help your decision. If apex hitting and fast flowing cornering is your thing then the V6, it's still no Lotus but better at throwing around (I'm told). For me the noise and off the lights acceleration of the V8 was the clincher....

Re: V8 spark plug change

Hi Nick, I was told by my independent that from new these are iridium plugs and good for 60k plus miles so did not do mine when it was servcied at 35k. I also mentioned about leaving them too long and them being corroded in place, he had not seen this on any F Types through his workshop so did not s...

Re: New to Forum and Jag! Questions...!

Hi OGCM and welcome, certainly the right choice of car Just a bit of info to all on snow mode, I was told it's also very useful for driving on wet grass or mud in case you find yourself off-road in wet conditions (overshot a corner, field parking etc). The traction control allows the wheel to turn t...

Re: Just bought a 2015 F-Type R

Welcome and a great choice, the best model F Type, but I may be biased.

I guess your first few months wil lbe in snow mode in NYC in winter.

Maybe best not to put either a Trump or Biden sticker in the window for a few months.

Enjoy, I'm sure you will.

Re: New to Jag! Picking up my dream car tomorrow 😬

I recognise that dealership, very close to me. If your local to that dealership you'll see my white one driving around although not for a few months, first time I've not driven it in winter. Great cars, you'll love it and welcome to the club. Roll on spring when I can unleash the beast, or Cliff as ...

Re: Seized exhaust valves

As SCM says, there are a few threads on this site with some quite detailed information on how to find the valves and lubricate them. I would be inclined to try this first, either yourself or asking an independent before even considering a new exhaust. Afterall, the exhaust is fine, it's just a shaft...

I think if you want to add two extra exhausts at the back you need to add two extra cylinders at the front

Re: Hello from Edinburgh

Hi and welcome, Great colour and the white writing on the tyres seems to work or does that peg me as a "Dukes of Hazard" or NASCAR type person. You'll enjoy the V8 for sure, I can't say whether it'll be better drivers car as I've not driven a 3.0L but the V8 really does shift if you floor ...
