Re: SimpleR 400 Sport - My Car Topic
Received letter from DVLA this morning. That is always a worry! Although I haven't been anywhere in a month as I've had Covid. Although good news! Direct debit mandate for my road tax changes from £42.87 down to £13.56 from June next year. I was wondering how it would work when car was 5yrs old and ...

Re: Hi there!
I wouldn't be concerned with a higher mileage single owner car. I would rather have a single owner higher mileage with all the history and paperwork and FJSH than a multiple owner low mileage car with sporadic home DIY service. Limited history checks available from the weekend. https://www.ftypeforu...

Re: 400 Sport - is 56k too high?
Ooh noo 😯. Hope you're OK and wish you a speedy recovery. Thanks, not wishing to drift off topic, but I had the Alpha variant in April 2020 and that was OK. Double jabbed but somehow ended up with Delta variant and completely wiped me out. But getting there and a few amusing oil topics have kept me...

Re: InControl App
Mine was missing when I got mine, I did see a few on ebay going for up to £80 at the time, however another 400 sport owner who had his written off kindly donated me theirs.
Enjoy! And hope the InControl starts working soon.

Re: Return of the intermittent squeak/grinding under acceleration load
You state they mentioned the wheel bearing but did they do it? What was the mileage on the salvaged diff and did it come with any warranty? Jaguar recommend the rear diff oil is changed every 4yrs or 64000 miles which ever occurs first however based on mine I would say the maximum should be 3yrs or ...

Re: New but need some advice
When your in manual the display changes to what gear your in. The car also does not auto change up at the limiter (it does auto change down). On approach to rev limiter the display changes to a white background and upon reaching the limiter it flashes white. This can happen quite quickly in 1st! Wil...

Re: Rising oil level on V8
To check the oil you should ensure the car is fully up to temperature, stop on level ground and then wait 10 min before taking a reading. If I do that in mine it always say full. If I check mine when cold it says overfill but if I follow the instructions it shows as full and OK. If it is on a very s...
