Re: sad days are coming

I assume we will still be able to arrange to import Japanese cars when the UK supply dries up?

Re: JayEmm testing the P300

I've had V8s for decades, I find the power of them normal now. But I've resisted the temptation to tune my R.

Re: JayEmm testing the P300

I had to run in a gearbox reset in my R, so was pottering about for a while. The V8 can be viscious of course, but there's also something satisfying about pulling away just above tickover and cruising at very low revs. Still quicker than 'normal' drivers.

The Jaguar specialist indie I use gets my service record updated. I'm surprised yours doesn't. Is it an affiliation they need to have or something? Or is he doing me a favour?

Re: New to the group

My insurance is lowered by adding my other half to the cover. Worth a try adding a 2nd driver.

Re: Car check please

H239 v1 has been applied to mine since owning it, presumably during a service / repair. V2 and v3 haven't.

Re: Portofino Blue P575

Same here, I've rubber mats for the winter, nice carpet mats for the summer. Each year I forget to put the carpet mats in, so for a few years it's been rubber mats all the time. This year could be different- if I remember. 😁

Re: PPF pre cut kits?

I've seen ads for partial front end PPF for 395 plus VAT. Sills should be less? I wouldn't try doing a front myself but the sills alone I would at those prices. Prep is very important of course, but my PPF sills are usually covered in road dirt as soon as I venture out.
