Yeah the old ones are loud. Even in tamest normal auto mode, give it some beans and lift off for the fireworks noises.

I've had extended warranty work done at an indie Jaguar specialist, plus routine servicing.

I had a fairly similar noise that sounded like it came from under the gear change. Turned out to be a noisy front wheel bearing! It took a bit of finding. However it wasn't increased when accelerating like yours does.

The best warranty, although probably not the cheapest, is extended warranty though Jaguar. There is an age and mileage limit though, worth asking them.
