Re: Carbon brake mounting pins
I'm confused. I was presuming you would remove two of the five studs, install said rods, then remove the other studs and wheel slides off over the rods without falling off or hitting caliper. Hence you would need a threaded end. F Types use M12 1.5 Wheel nuts (or lugs as US would call them) https:/...

Re: Side skirts...
I would like to buy a pair, and have them carbon wrapped and fitted. Any advise on who to buy from? Bob, It’s perhaps worth pointing out that there are at least 3 or 4 different designs of sideskirt across years and derivatives. I opted for the 400 series as correct for a V6 but had a better profil...

Re: Side skirts...
You can easily remove the sills complete with skirts then detach the skirts from the sills as they are just held together with 6 torx bolts. That makes it easy to respray.
I'm sure they could also be wrapped in situ.

Must say, although I don't think I have this problem, I think it's great that really clear and useful advice is being shared here. Proper forum! We Jaaaag owners are a civilised lot! You've clearly not been in the herd headed for the burgers, bacon baps and breakfast rolls when they open the ...

Re: First Year Niggles
From a simple mechanical perspective tightening a locating bolt at the extreme rear of the trim cannot have any effect on the front lower part where it’s lifting. If you press on the trim over the bolt and it doesn’t move inwards then there’s no point in stripping trim and over tightening it as it’s...

Re: Bonnet leaper?
Did any Jags even still have any such leapers back in 2005? If memory serves me the lineup then should have been the X350 XJ, X-Type, S-Type and X100 XK8 and surely none of them came with one from factory? In the early 2000s a mate had an early modern S-Type with that kind of leaper which he ended ...
