I haven't tried the boot but I have noticed that when the door handle is out you can't press the handle in not wanting to force it. A lot of folk on the US forum prefer the black as they say the white makes it look "porky" (and I don't like a Porsche!). The black is apparently "slimming". That said, I'm quite happy with my white sills.
